Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is a procedure which is designed to eliminate bacteria from the inside of the tooth. A tooth’s pulp is where the nerve and blood supply is housed. When this area becomes inflamed or infected, the tooth can sometimes be saved by disinfecting and removing this tissue. After the inside of the tooth is cleaned, it is filled and sealed. The tooth will often require a crown to protect what structure remains.
How Do I Know if I Might Need a Root Canal?
- Toothache - Comes on at night time or spontaneously
- Lingering cold sensitivity (>1min.)
- Hot sensitivity
- Pain to “tapping”
- Abscess
- Discoloration
Don't Wait
